Create Space Adelaide

create a song celebrating identity and culture

Students will work together to write and record an original song using Garageband. As well as learning about the technical side of audio recording, the lyric writing process gives students the chance to reflect on their culture, family, school experiences, personal achievements and aspirations. It’s a fun and engaging way for them to explore the theme of identity and share what it means to them to be Aboriginal with their school community. The finished song is mixed and provided to the school on CD and in digital format including both the full recording and an instrumental track which students can share with their family, friends and wider school community.

We are also happy to work with your class or another cohort of students to create an original song with a different theme. If you have a particular idea in mind, please contact us and we’ll be happy to discuss it with you.
