Create Space Adelaide runs creative arts, sewing, craft and music activities in Adelaide, South Australia.
We believe that high quality arts experiences are important for developing children’s expression, creativity, imagination and problem solving skills. We also believe that creative activities are important in adulthood too, providing opportunities for building confidence, developing new skills, enhancing wellbeing and connecting with other people. And of course, they are lots of fun!
Simon leads our visual arts and music activities. He is a qualified primary school teacher who has additional training in visual arts and multimedia. Simon is also an experienced songwriter and musician. He loves sharing these diverse skills with workshop participants, helping them to develop both the technical skills and confidence to express themselves through songwriting, recording, painting, drawing, other visual arts and digital mediums.
Louise facilitates our sewing and craft activities. She is an experienced teacher and a qualified shoemaker and milliner. She learnt to sew as a young child and has been sewing and crafting ever since. Louise is passionate about encouraging people of all ages to regularly spend time making or creating, and loves teaching them the skills to help them do that. She believes that as well as being lots of fun, being creative helps improve our sense of wellbeing.
*Our workshop facilitators have current DCSI clearances for working with children.
